| Amerimed Named Hospital Provider In Mexico For SickKid.Net
AmeriMed, a network of American quality hospitals in resort cities of Mexico, has
been named the medical provider for SickKid.Net, an online 24 hour children's healthcare resource network based in
Scottsdale.
AmeriMed currently operates full service facilities in Cabo San Lucas, Cancun and
Puerto Vallarta. Construction is now underway for a second and larger AmeriMed hospital in Cancun as well as an
expansion to the Cabo San Lucas facility, which opened only five months ago.
Helping parents with a variety of resources, the SickKid.Net Web site offers sick
childcare needs and instant access to children's healthcare specialties both locally and wherever they may travel.
The information is quick, accurate and comprehensive, said John Merrill, president and CEO of SickKid.Net.
Search topics include listings for hospitals, physicians, urgent care centers, and
pharmacy locations. SickKid.Net is developing an online community by registering visitors and has recently added a
pediatrician directory.
AmeriMed caters to tourists and travelers, foreign business professionals and local
residents who are interested in private health care. Facilities are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with
English Spanish bilingual physicians and staff specializing in emergency medicine. Translators for major languages of
the world are also available.
